Holly Baldwin
Quaker Albuquerque NM I am a Quaker at the Albuquerque Monthly Meeting. I love hiking and a good journey-- spiritually or geographically. This time in my life I call "journey of faithfulness", having recently quit my job and moved to New Mexico from New England, without a plan other than to create a life that leaves me freer to follow the promptings of the Spirit. My ministry is to encourage people and communities to deeper and bolder lives, and is rooted in the love of the transformative power of the love of God. I am dedicated to racial justice work, and welcoming and inclusion work in faith communities. My work often overlaps with ministry, and usually finds me bringing my love of organization and group process in service to churches and organizations aligned with my values. |

Presbyterian Church (USA) Birmingham AL I recently graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, AR where I received my B.A. in Religious Studies with a minor in Anthropology. I'm originally from Birmingham, AL, but have since moved to Little Rock. Fundamentally, I’m an introvert at its core who also adores people. I’ll be serving as a Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) in Albuquerque, NM, where I’ll explore my call to service and how my faith plays a role in that. This is my first time participating in the Pilgrimage for Unity, and I’m looking forward to sharing this experience with a new community! |

LangHa Pham
Roman Catholic Albuquerque NM I came from a long family tradition of Buddhism, and was baptized at age 5 along with my parents and 2 older siblings in South Vietnam in the heat of the Vietnam war. I came to the US in 1989, via France (where we were political refugees since 1975). I have been with the Roman Catholic Church for most of my life, except for a 10-year hiatus following the first sexual scandal that affected the archdiocese of Boston where I lived before moving to NM and joining an Episcopal Church. I eventually found my way back to the Catholic Church since 2014. In my quest of finding the right spiritual home, I also became exposed to the contemplative life of prayer, and over a number of years of searching and practicing contemplative prayer, became an oblate of the Order of St. Benedict, and am affiliated with the Monastery of Perpetual Adoration of Clyde, MO, after exploring several of the more local Benedictine monasteries, including Christ in the Desert and Our Lady of the Desert. I am currently a student in icon writing, and have been studying with Father Abbott Damian, from Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Northern CA, a Greek Ukrainian Catholic Monastery of the Eastern Catholic rite. I am a very recent retiree from 26 years of medicine practice, and am looking forward to deepening my faith journey. I look forward to this pilgrimage and meeting you all. |
Rob Pierson Quaker Albuquerque NM Rob is a Quaker and systems engineer who lives with his wife, a son, a dog, two cats, and occasional visiting roadrunners on the East side of Albuquerque. Whether walking to Chimayo or walking the dog, life is a pilgrimage - a journey through sacred time and sacred space. See you there. |
